Joy Windsor

English tutor.

Joy graduated from The Open University in 1993 having spent time studying for a multi-disciplinary arts degree which included English Literature and History. After gaining a PGCE from Chichester University in 1997, she started work as an English teacher at Swanmore and then at Amery Hill in Alton, where she still works part-time. Joy is an experienced KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature teacher and particulary enjoys inspiring self-belief in those who are not confident in this important subject.

Faye Mylward

French and German tutor, Primary Schools MFL Consultant.

Faye graduated with a 2:1 in French and German from Coventry University in 1990, having also spent a year living in Compi├Ęgne, northern France, and Heidelberg, Germany. After gaining a PGCE at Warwick, she began her teaching career in 1991 and taught in secondary schools in Coventry and Weybridge until 1998. Since then she has focussed on teaching French to children in nursery and primary education, running lunchtime and after-school clubs in many schools in the Alton area, as well as part of the school curriculum. She now leads the Alton Primary MFL Network which oversees and supports the teaching of French in 12 local primaries. Faye has also tutored in French and German up to GCSE, supporting students taking controlled assessments in speaking and writing, as well as improving their exam skills in listening and reading.

Jane Trillaud, French Tutor.

Jane is an experienced French tutor working
in the Alton area over the last 5 years,
teaching all ages from preschool, after
school clubs, GCSE students to retired
people. Jane has a 2(1) degree in
Chemistry and French and has spent time
living and working in France. At present
she has vacancies for day time lessons;
conversation and written French for all
ages and levels, individuals or groups.

Sarah Human, German and French Tutor.

Sarah has an honours degree in
German and French which included
periods living and working in Toulouse,
Berlin and Salzburg. Since graduating
she has combined her language
skills in German and French
with a variety of disciplines including
finance, technical support and marketing.
Sarah is an experienced tutor of students
approaching GCSE.

Jane Trillaud

Lesley Hill, English Tutor.

Whilst working as a teaching assistant in the Alton area, Lesley graduated from the Open University in 2006 with an honours degree in humanities with English Literature. After a year of teacher training through the GTP programme and the University of Reading she started teaching at a local primary school, firstly for 5 years in Year 1 and then moving into Year 4.

Lesley has now left working in schools to concentrate on other ventures but enjoys tutoring in English at primary level and inspiring children to enjoy a subject that
is close to her heart, including writing, reading,
comprehension skills and spelling.
Lesley has vacancies during the evenings,
after 5pm.

Lesley Hill

Amanda Costa, Spanish and EFL Tutor.

Amanda recently graduated from Coventry university in Spanish and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). She has experience in teaching English to adults for over two years and enjoys teaching languages to both children and adults, especially Spanish, Portuguese and English.
Amanda spent a year in Leon, Spain
which gave her the opportunity to study
in the university and experience the
different cultures and traditions that the
country had to offer.
She moved to UK in 2006 from Portugal
and for the last 12 years she dedicated
her free time in learning different
languages such as Russian,
Mandarin Chinese and Greek.
