Joy Windsor

English tutor.

Joy graduated from The Open University in 1993 having spent time studying for a multi-disciplinary arts degree which included English Literature and History. After gaining a PGCE from Chichester University in 1997, she started work as an English teacher at Swanmore and then at Amery Hill in Alton, where she still works part-time. Joy is an experienced KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature teacher and particulary enjoys inspiring self-belief in those who are not confident in this important subject.

Cristina Montáns Lorenzo,

Spanish Tutor.

Cristina has been a Spanish tutor for over fifteen years. She graduated in Translation and Interpreting (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese) from the University of Vigo (Spain) in 2002. She also did a Spanish PGCE equivalent in Modern Languages in 2003. Cristina has taught modern languages to children and adults at all levels for nearly twenty years.
Cristina comes from A Coruña in Spain. She moved to the UK in 2006 and to Alton in 2014. She has a passion for languages and learning. She spends most of her free time with her two young daughters and her husband. She travels to Spain a few times a year to see family and friends and bring back some yummy goodies and Spanish books.

Lesley Hill, English Tutor.

Whilst working as a teaching assistant in the Alton area, Lesley graduated from the Open University in 2006 with an honours degree in humanities with English Literature. After a year of teacher training through the GTP programme and the University of Reading she started teaching at a local primary school, firstly for 5 years in Year 1 and then moving into Year 4.

Lesley has now left working in schools to concentrate
on other ventures but enjoys tutoring in English at
primary level and inspiring children to enjoy a subject
that is close to her heart, including writing, reading,
comprehension skills and spelling.
Lesley has vacancies during the evenings,
after 5pm.

Faye Mylward

French and German tutor, Primary Schools MFL Consultant.

Faye graduated with a 2:1 in French and
German from Coventry University in 1990,
having also spent a year living in
Compiègne, northern France, and
Heidelberg, Germany. After gaining a
PGCE at Warwick, she began her
teaching career in 1991 and has taught
extensively in nursery, primary and
secondary schools with knowledge and
experience in teaching and tutoring
French and German up to GCSE and French to A level. Faye is also experienced in adult education, running beginners', improvers' and advanced conversation classes in both French and German.

Sarah Human, German and French Tutor.

Sarah has an honours degree in
German and French which included
periods living and working in Toulouse,
Berlin and Salzburg. Since graduating
she has combined her language
skills in German and French
with a variety of disciplines including
finance, technical support and marketing.
Sarah is an experienced tutor of students
approaching GCSE.

Jane Trillaud, French Tutor.

Jane is an experienced French tutor working
in the Alton area over the last 5 years,
teaching all ages from preschool, after
school clubs, GCSE students to retired
people. Jane has a 2(1) degree in
Chemistry and French and has spent time
living and working in France. At present
she has vacancies for day time lessons;
conversation and written French for all
ages and levels, individuals or groups.

Amanda Costa, Spanish and EFL Tutor.

Amanda recently graduated from Coventry university in Spanish and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). She has experience in teaching English to adults for over two years and enjoys teaching languages to both children and adults, especially Spanish, Portuguese and English.
Amanda spent a year in Leon, Spain
which gave her the opportunity to study
in the university and experience the
different cultures and traditions that the
country had to offer.
She moved to UK in 2006 from Portugal
and for the last 12 years she dedicated
her free time in learning different
languages such as Russian,
Mandarin Chinese and Greek.
